Donna George

Donna George joined the New Birth Christian Ministries family in late August 2021 as Zoom Master. The church congregation immediately accepted, embraced, and guided her to train and become a potential youth leader. She led the weekly Praise & Worship for the music ministry role by choosing and playing hymns and contemporary worship songs. In November 2021, Donna was promoted to the Youth Ministry leader position by her supervisor and pastor, Dr. Larry McCord.

Dr. McCord and newly appointed Associate Pastor for the Women’s Ministry, Dr. Sonia L. Russell, helped prepare Donna for her youth ministry goal by presenting sermonettes and participating in discussions for Bible Study. Donna is currently a college student majoring in music and plans to become a gospel musician and a high school music teacher. She takes private piano lessons outside of college and church to broaden her knowledge on how to play gospel improvisation music and advance on playing hymnals. She acknowledges how the NBCM church has both patience and faith in her to reach her goal to become the best gospel musician that she could be. Donna highly appreciates the current NBCM mini-choir for their dedication and eagerness to attend choir practice to ensure that every weekly praise and worship time is centered around and glorifies God.

Donna grew up in a Christian household where her parents played a vital role – her father was an organist and music director, and her mother served as a deaconess and choir member. Her favorite thing about church has always been Praise and Worship. She wants to guide young people and encourage them to become the best versions of themselves spiritually and mentally.
